What Size Unit Do You Need?
- 5' x 10': Size of a walk-in closet or 100ft van. Enough room to store a typical home office, or a couch, chair, and mattress set. Holds 100 file boxes.
- 10' X 10': Size of a small bedroom or 15ft moving truck. It can hold the contents of a one-bedroom apartment or 200 file boxes.
- 10' x 15': Size of a large bedroom or 20ft. moving truck. Can hold the contents of a 2 bedroom apartment, or two office suites or 300 file boxes.
- 10' x 20': Size of a one-car garage or 24 ft moving truck. It can hold the contents of a small house or a car or pickup truck.
- 10' x 25': Size of a standard garage. Can hold the contents of a 2 bedroom house or a vehicle or boat.
- 12' x 30': Can hold the contents of a three-bedroom house or can be used as a mini-warehouse for a business.

Helpful Hints
Place all smaller items in uniformly sized boxes. Put heavier items on the bottom and lighter ones on top. Use bubble wrap or peanuts to fill in the empty spaces.
- Lawn mowers: Drain the gasoline and oil from small engines. This will protect both your stored property and the property of others from the dangers of fire and explosion.
- Mattresses: Place mattresses in plastic covers to protect them from dust and moisture.
- Leather items: Treat leather items (couches, clothes, etc.) with a leather conditioner prior to storing them. Keep furniture items off the floor by placing them on pallets.
- Clothes, blankets, quilts & drapes: Cover them in plastic and hang them from a bar or place in a wardrobe box.
- Furniture and tables: Put blankets over furniture to protect them from scratches, dust, and moisture damage.
- Breakable items: Wrap breakable items inside bubble wrap and store with linens.
- Appliances: Clean and dry all appliances prior to storage. Do not leave anything inside the appliance. Store appliances upright with doors ajar to allow ventilation.
Wipe metal surfaces with a few drops of machine oil to retard rust.
